About
BW Art Projects came up with the idea of offering the art collector an opportunity to obtain original work from internationally successful artists. Each and every one of our projects is meticulously studied by our team of curators, the artists and art experts.
Historically, The Blackwell Collection is one of the most representative modern and contemporary collections in the United States. After a trip to Europe at the beginning of the century, the Blackwell family began to collect art from European artists such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and Miró.
Active instigators of American abstract expressionism the Blackwell family actively participates in the professional development of the group "The Irascible Eighteen", collaborating in 1943 in the Jackson Pollock’s first solo show at Peggy Guggenheim’s Art of This Century museum/gallery in New York.
